SLOW CYCLING ANNECY
FAGUO AND CAFÉ DU CYCLISTE MET UP FOR A SLOW RIDE TO CELEBRATE THEIR TECHNICAL AND LIFESTYLE CYCLING CLOTHING COLLABORATION.
The town of Annecy is a jewel of the Alps, sitting on its sparkling lake surrounded by mountains – a perfect place to inaugurate the Slow Cycling Club!
The collaboration between Café du Cycliste and lifestyle brand Faguo – two B Corp-certified companies – consists of a collection of both technical cycling clothes and lifestyle products.
From a cycling jersey and cap to sneakers and a duffle bag, they promote our shared vision of mindful community, environmental awareness and how getting back to nature can enrich our lives.
Our casual cruising crew of eight cyclists met at Faguo’s shop in Annecy’s picturesque old town, which was all decked out in collaboration colours.
The idea? To escape the rat race and find some green space, sharing some time with friends on a social-paced spin.
After a few kilometres riding by the lake, we turned off to the Col de Leschaux.
Yes it’s a climb! But every ride in this beautiful part of the world goes up at some point.
The Col de Leschaux – around 11km at an average of 4% – is one of the more relaxed climbs in the area. And as in all these situations, the reward is worth the effort: a panoramic view over the lake and the wild landscapes that rise above it.
Back at Faguo HQ, our riders arrived back to a Slow Cycling launch party, where the town was welcomed in to check out the range, enjoy a drink and meet new friends.
