Tube socks & style
Wars have been started over less important issues than sock style. Length and coverage, colour and material, it's all under debate.
Some swear that to wear a black sock when it's not winter is a sacrilege. Other that a sock that is more than 1.5cm from the start of the calf muscle is a disgrace...
But one style that's crossed over, from basketball to track and field to street style is the tube sock.
The the tube sock was the inspiration for the Cafe du Cycliste Striped Socks.
They're reminiscent of a time of long hair and short shorts, skateboarding in empty swimming pools, BMX, rollerskates and California sunshine.
Think classic steel, down tube shifters and cycling home to milk and cookies, or mom's apple pie.
Forget cheap '70s construction: the Striped Sock is made from modern yarns for breathability, moisture-wicking and blister prevention.
They're ribbed and cut high, for a dollop of extra authenticity.
However you wear them, make sure they're box-fresh and ride with style.
