SS23 Lookbook: The Wild Bunch
Have you ever smelt the sweet perfume of wild flowers after six hours suffering in the saddle? It’s often the smells that keep you spinning, powering you towards the next tantalising turn.
The flora of Provence to those who reside and play here is the icing on an already perfect gateau, gilding the golden lilies and lemon-scented lilacs. They may inspire or sing of hunger, desire, death or hedonism, but flowers are often nature’s neon lights, the girls and boys frolicking on street corners, enjoying life for life’s sake.
You may know of Grasse – the town that inspired Chanel No.5; perhaps the world’s most pungent perfume. Whatever your relationship with luxuriously-bottled potions, the abundance of flowers in the region where we ride and live deserves perennial celebration.
This season, we take a hand-painted pattern with a modernist style in the mode of Matisse or maybe Monet. Applied to our summer jerseys Floriane and Laureline, our homage to the flowers of Provence help us perpetuate the spirit of hope, adventure and discovery which blooms every Spring.
