ÉCHAPPÉE PARIS
Each neighbourhood has its own energy, you can find what you like by riding from one street to another, from one neighbourhood to another.
For me a good day on the bike starts with a bike ride with my friends. Go to a coffee shop for a good coffee, accompanied by a homemade pastry. After the ride, we go to the market to buy a roasted chicken and some vegetables, a bottle of wine and some beers. We then have lunch at home.
Chilling with some music talking about bike parts.
One Sunday a month the city is closed to cars. Choose this day to enjoy the City of Lights by bike. Then discover its full potential.
Riding next to the Eiffel Tower, crossing bridges made centuries ago, the city itself is a museum.
Rue Gasnier-Guy is the steepest street in the capital with its 17% slope. For more fun it is paved.
Great to perfect your climb skills.
For vintage bikes, the specialists are the Savarino brothers at La Bicyclette. Alesia Cycles in the south of the city offers custom build in its workshop.
The quays of the Seine allow you to cross the whole city without passing a single car. You pass in the heart of Paris, next to the most beautiful monuments.
The 11th is the liveliest neighborhood. The best bars and coffeeshops are located there. Eating falafel sandwich on rue des rosiers or Surpriz on rue Oberkampf, a Kebab like in Berlin.
Paris is really the city of good food.
